Recovery Dharma

Recovery Dharma groups support people who struggle with alcohol, drugs, or unhealthy behaviors. Come explore freedom from unhealthy attachments and addictions.

Andrew has been leading Recovery Dharma meetings in Charlottesville for a few years, and at FYJ for the last two years. He teaches philosophy courses at U of Richmond.  Beth teaches yoga and writing at Berea College, KY. She found a new purpose in Recovery Dharma at FYJ last year.

Ann-Marie's Yoga

Native North Carolinian, dedicated dog mom, & passionate yoga practitioner with dual certifications, Ann-Marie’s heart belongs to the beach, mountains, and the joy of travel. An eternal student and a devoted advocate for women, she has created sacred spaces and facilitated healing. She is a guide on the journey of wellness, and finds herself perpetually grateful.

Bhav Brigade

Danielle Stern (she/they) is a co-founder of Bhav Brigade, a mutual aid group of inclusive, donation-based yoga, in Norfolk, Virginia. She teaches slow but strengthening yoga for all bodies. Danielle is trained in trauma-informed yoga, Yoga of 12-Step Recovery, myofascial release, yoga nidra, and yin and restorative styles.

In Balance Yoga Studio

Devin began practicing yoga as a college student but didn’t get serious about it until 2014 when she committed to making holistic wellness a focus in her life. Devin currently works as the Studio Manager for In Balance Yoga and she teaches public yoga classes several times a week. She is known for her playlists and how they connect music with the movement of yoga. She delights in interacting with each student during my class, whether that’s through conversation, or a thoughtful assist during practice.

Dat Dude Jonny is simply dat dude, named Jonny. He’s been writing teacher bios for every class over the past eight years, and  not one of them that really sounds like Dat Dude; Except this one. “I’m Dat Dude, I’m a lil different, Bring yo ass to class!”

Jason Clemons

Jason (he/they) Sober. Stable. Seeker. LGBTQIAA+ 200/300YTT with the Kunga Yoga School based in Blacksburg, VA. His teachings include the a focus on compressed evolution, a vinyasa style informed by Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, and reclaiming wholeness, autonomy, and splendor. He celebrates diversity, teachability, and beginning again and again.

Jeff Tiebout

Sanctuary of the light
Jeff started practicing yoga in 1978 after reading the autobiography of a Yogi. After exploring many styles, he’s come to rest in Pattabhi Jois’s Ashtanga Yoga. The dynamic nature of the practice drew him in; how it leads to the practice of Pranayama and meditation keeps the practice evolving.

Trained to teach Ashtanga yoga by Dee Silvers, Monju Jois, and David Swenson. Studied with David Williams, Gary Kraftsow, Gregor Maehle, and many others.

The Grateful Yoga

Having graduated from dozens of YTT’s and apprenticeships, and lead more than thirty YTT’s through his School, The Grateful Yoga, Jesse continues to approach his practice with a beginner’s mindset, grounded in traditional Yogic and Zen Buddhist belief systems. Be Well Now

Joe leads retreats on mindfulness practice for helping professionals, veterans and elders through his nonprofit Be Well Now. He is also lead teacher for Instill Mindfulness & Inward Bound Mindfulness. Joe brings playfulness, Earth connection and whole person engagement to his ways of teaching and embodying mindfulness practice.

Sahyinidra Yoga
Johnny Stowe is a wildlife biologist, forester, writer, speaker and registered yoga teacher, and the founder of Sahyinidra Yoga. He has managed heritage preserves for the state of SC for 29 years, specializing in restoring the integrity of longleaf pine and other ecosystems through the use of fire.
Conscious Coaching
Jon Handelman is a Master Coach who has been working to help people unleash their highest potential through deep emotional work, music, and play. Jon regularly hosts song circles at his home in Asheville, NC and teaches many typed of workshops at various gatherings and festivals.

Kaelyn Rogers is an occupational therapist, yoga therapist, and acro teacher. She is the founder of the yoga therapy nonprofit, Upward Inertia. Kaelyn has taught in more than 35 states and 10countries.

Kaelyn uses her knowledge of kinesiology and movement to ensure classes are safe, fun, and full of success.
